PEACE

CE-BIT participates in an extensive project called PEACE. PEACE is a EU funded projeect sponsored by the European Commission.The project focus is put on daily and extreme emergencies.

The project has partners from various parts of Europe:

  • PDM&FC (R&D) - Portugal
  • Telefonica (Telecom) - Spain
  • Thales (Försvarsindustri) - France
  • Fraunhofer FOKUS (R&D Telecom) - Germany
  • Kingston University (Research) - UK
  • University of Patras (Research) - Greece
  • IT (Research) - Portugal
  • CE-BIT (R&D) - Sweden

Our own focus in this project is within the development of an operations center for control and management of rescue corps during larger operations. We are also working with an extension for disabled featured within the IMS Monster client from Fraunhofer FOKUS as well as support for automatic retrieval of medical information.

Exiting Products!

From this project, a range exiting products are taking form. We have familty or wireless sensors which can be used in combination with the operations center in wide range of situations.

The PEACE project is moving forward fast. During the summer, we continue to realize the exiting research results provided by the academic partners of the project. here

 
 
Wireless Sensor Networks

We are now focusing on wireless sensor networks!

During the upcoming period we will introduce a product familty based on wireless sensors communicating in Ad-Hoc networks..

This is a very reliable and cost effecient to both measure and collect data. The installation is simplified by the fact that there is no need of network or data cables.

We can handle both large and smaller types of installations. The sensors communicate their information to their closest neibghbor if they cannot reach the central collection point directly.

We still put our main effort into customers withing product and transport who need measured data from their environment and equipment.

The sensors can also be used for localization and identity control.
